However, these land fitness workouts can also be used for personal use, or for when the pool is closed and you need substitute content. Video-at-a-Glance
This 20-minute land fitness workout does not include a warm-up or cool down. Express videos such as this are meant to be included with regular class content. This 20-minute video is divided into five 4-minute Tabata rounds. Each of the Tabata rounds includes 8 exercises performed for 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of recovery. In each round, four of the exercises are cardio using an agility ladder, alternated with four rounds of muscle conditioning using hand weights. The strength exercises include both upper and lower body for a total body workout. The cardio agility ladder exercises can all be performed low impact. However, Jackie does demonstrate higher intensity/impact options. The agility ladder used in the video was purchased on amazon for $22.00. But as mentioned above, you do not need to purchase an agility ladder. Just have your class members imagine a ladder on the floor. The 5-pound hand weights were also purchased on Amazon for $18.00, but you do not need to buy hand weights. You can use water bottles.
