The above video preview is for both Pool Muscle Mixers and Pool Kickboxing Classics – originally sold as a double DVD. Pool Muscle Mixers posted in the Premium plan on 8/3/15

Have you ever wished that the foam dumbbells and noodles would simply disappear from your facility and never be found again? I know…right. I have struggled throughout my aquatic career with epic boredom when it comes to foam dumbbells and noodles. About 8 years ago I was at my breaking point of boredom. Consequently, I forced myself to break out of the mold, producing three DVD routines & workshops that featured body conditioning with a choreographed approach - Fluid Strength Combos (2007), Liquid Flex & Flow (2008) and Pool Muscle Mixers (2009).

The base moves don’t change much in these routines. They can’t because muscles are recruited with very specific anatomical movements. Major muscles groups are recruited with flexion, extension, abduction and adduction in the three movement planes – frontal, sagittal and transverse. Instead of trying to change base moves, body conditioning is reinvented and made new by adding choreography and function. Choreography is added by linking a variety of anatomical movements with fluidity and flow. A variety of upper body movements are added to lower body movements to provide a ‘new’ move – and then moves are sequenced and added on so that flow is created. Function is added when moves are performed out of traditional planes with more of a focus on diagonal, spiral and rotary movement.

If you are bored of doing the same noodle, dumbbell and resistance training exercises in a ‘stop & go’ fashion and you are looking to spark up your body conditioning, then I invite you to check out Pool Muscle Mixers.

WARNING: Timing is not always everything. In August we are celebrating “New Instructors “here at Fitmotivation. After reviewing this video again, I realized that this is SO not a ‘new’ instructor video. This is advanced choreography when taught as per the notes. Two tips: Be sure to print out the notes and follow along with them as you watch the full video; and if the choreography is too much just strip moves you like and teach them as you wish.

And if you like this style of choreographed body conditioning stay tuned for: Liquid Flex & Flow (posting October 2015 in Premium plan) and Fluid Strength Combos (Posting December 2015 in Premium plan).

Please remember: If you are a basic monthly subscriber and want to watch Premium videos, you can go to your Settings and switch plans and your next renewal fee will be automatically adjusted. It will renew as a Premium ($24.95) plan until y
