Do you like to add water walking into your classes? Join Aquatic Fitness Training Specialist, Monique Acton, for Water Walking for Posture & Balance. Water fitness instructors will love all the exercise ideas and creative variations this 60-minute aquatic fitness video provides. Changing up your class routines will help your participants achieve better fitness results.
Water walking is the most common type of exercise older adults do in the pool because it is gentler exercise without the impact. Many water fitness instructors teach class formats devoted entirely to water walking, or they add portions of it in their classes. This video includes water walking exercises that were designed specifically to challenge coordination, muscular endurance, balance and core stability. The slower pace, directional changes and variations of the striding movements engage postural muscles more effectively. In addition to being an international educator and AEA Training Specialist, Monique is an aquatic personal trainer and has been training clients in the pool for over 25 years. Water Walking for Posture & Balance is an epic collection of some of the exercises she uses in her aquatic personal training sessions. Her business, The Personal Health Trac, is based in Venice, Fl. In the video below, Monique provides more insight into the video, and then read on for a summary of the exercise segments.
