Marti Peters
Marti Peters’ experience in the fitness industry ranges from international fitness educator to business owner to private club management. As a sought after leader in the fitness industry, Marti has traveled to over 16 countries certifying instructors and providing continuing education courses. She has represented The Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) for over 20 years as an aquatic training specialist and was the recipient of AEA’s Global Fitness Instructor of the Year. She has also represented fitness equipment companies such as Spri Products and BodyBar. Marti is a frequent contributor to fitness publications.
Marti’s business offers land and water fitness classes as well as in home personal training. After relocating to Florida from Maine 13 years ago, Marti joined The Commons Club at The Brooks in Estero, Florida as lead fitness trainer and group fitness instructor and in 2011 was hired as program director to develop and oversee the Living A Healthy Life program. In that position she trained the staff in program protocols, created a network with local health professionals to support the program, and developed a lecture series for the members. In 2012 Marti accepted the position of assistant director of operations overseeing front desk staff, personal trainers, estheticians and massage therapists. She coordinated the intern program for the students assigned to the club from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Human Performance and Spa Management majors and was co-chair of The Brooks Community Heart Walk and Wellness Fair for The American Heart Association.
Marti currently provides in home personal training to a wide variety of clients, which allows her to live by her motto; "Love what you do and do what you love". Marti and her husband Lee make their home in Fort Myers, Florida.
