S’WET Aqua Boot Camp 2.0

Wednesday, July 09 2025

S'WET creator Jenni Lynn Patterson LaCour is back with a remake of her most popular Fitmotivation video. Treat your class members to a splashy boot camp experience. S’WET ™ Boot Camp 2 is a 45-minute aquatic fitness instructor video that is divided into three parts, strength, cardio and core. Like other S’WET videos, the pool wall plays a prominent role in the exercise action.

The original S’WET Boot Camp was filmed in 2015 and went on to become the first Fitmotivation summer blockbuster. Fitmotivation had launched in November 2014 and Jenni Lynn was the second instructor brought in for filming. S’WET Boot Camp 2 includes many of S’WET’s signature moves, but there are definitely lots of new and innovative exercises in version 2.0. Like the original, the pool wall is featured prominently in the remake. S’WET Boot Camp popularized the use of the pool wall, leading many instructors to introduce wall work in their classes for the first time.  Below Jenni Lynn talks more about the 10 year anniversary remake and then read on for a summary of the exercise action in part 2.

S’WET BOOT CAMP 2:  AQUATIC FITNESS CLASS-AT-A-GLANCE
This 45-minute aquatic fitness format includes a warm-up, cool down and is divided into three parts. The original video was designed for shallow water. The remake can be instructed in both shallow and deep water.
1st Part: Leave it in the Water
This part includes three wall segments. The fitness focus is total body conditioning, with an emphasis on the core. In each of the three wall segments, three exercises are performed for two rounds. In the first round, each exercise is instructed for 45 seconds, with 15 seconds of recovery after.  In the second round, the three exercises are instructed back-to-back for 30 seconds each.
2nd Part: Turn up the Base
Cardio and muscular endurance are the fitness focus in this part. Three aquatic fitness base moves are instructed, cross country skis, jumping jacks and moguls. Each base move is taught with four variations, and each variation is instructed for 45 seconds. The variations include directional, rhythmic and traveling changes, as well as unilateral versus bilateral exercises.
3rd Part: Hydro Overload
Strength training with a pair of hand buoys is the fitness focus of this part. Once again, three aquatic fitness base moves are instructed – cross country skis, jumping jacks and V-sit isometric holds. Once again, each base move includes four variations, each taught for 45 seconds.

Fitmotivation extends much gratitude to Jenni Lynn for 10 years of aquatic fitness videos. Personally, I want to thank her for giving us a splashy remake of her most popular video, which I had suggested would be awesome for the10 year anniversary. Check out her extensive Fitmotivation video library. Stay tuned!  Three more videos with Jenni Lynn will be posting this summer and fall. FLASHBACK!  Who can forget Jenni Lynn’s first filming adventure 10 years ago, and her epic struggles with the on-camera talking parts. Lucky for us, we have it on video in a fun blooper reel thanks to AJ Meyers, a founding S’WET team member.
